Exascale Algorithm Engineering
The research group Exascale Algorithm Engineering, headed by Prof. Dr. Henning Meyerhenke, started at KIT on April 1, 2025. We perform research on scalable discrete algorithms for large and complex networked systems. When doing so, we apply the algorithm engineering cycle of modeling, development, analysis, implementation and experimental evaluation to create theoretically sound and practical solutions for application-oriented problems.
Journal paper "Methodology of Algorithm Engineering" (authors: Mendling, Leopold, Meyerhenke, Depaire) published in ACM Computing Surveys!
Dominik Schweisgut presents his paper (co-authors: Benoit, Robert, Meyerhenke) on carbon-aware scheduling at ICPP 2025 in San Diego.
Henning Meyerhenke was elected as Speaker for the (to be established) KIT Helmholtz Topic on core informatics.
